HOW TO SET THE TOTAL NUMBER OF TURNS
The compression, traction and torsion springs have turns in which is one of the factors that allows the spring to obtain the mechanical property of toughness.
Below we have a step by step in order to facilitate how to count the total number of turns (Ig) of a spring.
This method is valid for compression, traction and torsion springs.
Also for compression spring there are the number of active turns (If).
To determine this number of turns, we recommend subtracting (-1.5) from the total number of turns.
If = Ig – 1.5
